Coriander Rasam

Corinader Rasam

INGREDIENTS:

Coriander leaves – 1 bunch
Tomatoes – 1(Crushed)
Hot dry chili – 4
Black pepper – 1 tsp
Cumin seed – 2 tsp
Hing – ¼ tsp
Tamarind – small lemon size (Paste)
Mustard Seed – 1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp
Garlic – cloves
Salt – for taste
Oil – as needed

Method

1. Grind black pepper, cumin seed, garlic and hot dry chili to a paste.
2. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seed, dry chili and coriander leaves and cook for 1 or 2 minutes.
3. Add the turmeric powder, Hing, grounded paste and crushed tomatoes fry for 3-4 minutes.
4. Add a 1/4 cup of water and when it boils add the tamarind water boil the rasam well.
