Basmati rice – 2 cups (Cooked)
For Palak /Spinach – 1 cup
Onion – 1 (chopped )…
Green Chilly – 2
Garlic – 2 tsp
Cheese – 200 grams
Kasoori methi- a pinch
Basil – 1 tsp
Salt – Oil
Wash the palak/Spinach and make the puree of palak, garlic and green chilly.
Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and when it splutters add onion and fry them till it becomes golden brown.
Add chopped tomato and fry till it becomes soft.
Add the palak puree, kasoori methi, basil, salt and sauté till the moisture evaporates, then mix with the cooked rice.
We can use this as palak rice.
Allow the rice to cool down and then add the cheese and mix well.
Grease a round steel mould and put the palak rice some press well.
Bake the rice in preheated oven for 10 minutes.
