Malar (Puffed Rice) Payasam
Malar (Puffed Rice) Payasam
Malar (Puffed Rice) – 1 cup
Milk – 1 ½ cups
Cream – ½ Cup
Sugar – 1/2 cup
Cardamom powder – a pinch
Cashews – Few
Almond – Few Broken
Ghee – 2 tsp

Heat 1 tsp ghee in a pan add Cashews, Almonds and fry till golden brown.
Add ¾ of malar (Puffed Rice) and fry till it turns golden brown.
Pour the milk and cream and allow it to boil.
Add sugar and mix well.
Cook it for 3 mints and then add the remaining malar and cook for 2 more mints.
