Mutton Kofta

For Masala Water
Cloves – 5-6
Cinnamon – 1 inch
Pepper seeds – 1 tsp
Black cardamoms -2
Green Cardamoms – 3
Bay leaves – 2

For Gravy
Poppy seeds – 1 tsp
Garlic – 15
Ginger – 2 tsp
Onions – 4
Tomatoes – 4
Coriander powder -2 tsp
Chilly powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder – 2 tsp
Yoghurt – 1 1/2 cups whipped
Oil – 5 tsp
Ghee – 2 tsp

Mutton Kofta Balls
Mutton minced – 1/2 kg
Egg- 1
Besan /Gram powder – 3 tsp
Coriander leaves – 2 tsp (chopped)
Prepared Gravy – 3 tsp
Ginger garlic paste – ¼ tsp
Pepper powder – ¼ tsp
Chill powder – ¼ tsp

For masala water :- In another pan put all the spices with water and simmer for 10 minutes. Keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan and add garlic, ginger and the poppy seeds and onions and fry till they turn dark brown in color.
Add chopped tomato and cook till it becomes to paste.
Add the coriander, turmeric, chilly powder and salt and mix well.
Add the masala water to it.
In the meantime to the mutton mince add mix the egg, besan /gram powder, chopped coriander leaves,
ginger garlic paste, pepper powder, chill powder, salt, 3 tsps of prepared masala and mix well.
Grease hands with little oil and make small koftas.
Add the koftas to the masala and add the yogurt.
Reduce the heat and cook for about 45 minutes.
