Netholi (Anchovy) – 500g (Cleaned
Grated Coconut – 1 ½ cup
Shallots – 10
Green Chilly – 2
Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
Chilly powder – 1 tsp
Ginger – small piece
Kudam Puli (pot tamarind) – 2 piece
Curry leaves – few
Coconut Oil – 1 tsp
Water – 1 cup
Cook the netholi in water, turmeric, chilly powder, ginger, kudam puli and salt
Remove from fire when water is evaporated.
Crush the coconut, shallots, green chilly, ½ tsp of chilly powder.
In a pan heat the coconut oil and splutter mustard seeds and fry curry leaves.
Stir the cooked netholi and saute in medium heat without crushing the anchovies.
