Meen Mulakittathu1 WM


Fish (pieces) – 500 gms

Fenugreek seeds- ½ tsp

Mustard seeds- ¼ tsp

Shallots (Crushed) – 6

ingredients WMGinger (crushed) – 3 tsp

Garlic(crushed)- 3 tsp

Chili powder-  2 tsp

Coriander powder- 2½

Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp

Kudampuli (Cocum)- 3 small pieces

Heat oil in a clay pot (manchatti) and add mustard seeds and allow it to splutter.

Add fenugreek seeds and saute till it becomes brown.

Soak the Kudumpuli (Cocum) in water.

Add curry leaves and after a few seconds add crushed ginger, garlic, salt and fry till it turns golden brown

Into this put the crushed shallots and fry till it turns brown.

Meen Mulakittathu WMReduce the flame and add chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and stir until the color of the masala turns to dark.
Add the kudumpuli (cocum) water and bring it to boil

Add the cleaned fish pieces and cook over medium heat until the fish is cooked.
