Onion Chutney

Good for idli or dosa

• Onion – 1
• Tamarind – 1 gooseberry size
• Whole dry red chilies – 5 to 7
• Hing – ½ tbsp.
• Urad Dal – 1 tbsp
• Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp
• Salt – to taste
• oil – 3 tsp

1. Slice the onions and make a paste of onion, tamarind, red chillies and salt.

2. Heat a pan with 2 tsp oil. Add urad dal seeds, mustard seeds and red chilles. Once the seeds are splutter transfer the Paste and add hing to the pan.

3. Cook over low flame for 5-7 mins or till the chutney becomes thick and raw smell disappears.
