Achari Murgh


Chicken-1/2 kg

Whole Big Green chillies-3

Onions- 2

Ginger garlic paste-1 tbsp.

Green chilly – 1

Curds-1/2 cup

Turmeric powder-1/2  tsp.

Red chilli powder-1  tsp.

Corriander powder-1 tbsp.

Salt-1 tbsp.

Oil-1 cup

Achari Powder Ingredients:

Dry red chillies-4-5

Mustard seeds-1tsp.

Kalonji seeds (Onion)-1/2 tsp.

Fenugreek seeds-1/2 tsp.

Fennel seeds-1 tsp.

Grind all the ingredients to a coarse powder and the Achari masala is ready.


Slit Big Green chillies length wise keeping the stem intact..

In a bowl take chicken pieces and add Achari Masala powder (3 tsp) ,Curds,

and the Slit green chillies and keep in the refrigerator for an hour.

After an hour,

Heat oil in a pan and add chopped green chilly, ginger garlic paste and fry for a minute

Now put onions and fry till it turns soft and tansculent and add one tsp of achari masala salt, turmeric powder, coriander powder and chilly powder and fry till the raw smell goes away.

Add the chicken mix to it and fry for 3 mints till everything gets mixed well. Add a cup little water and close the pan and cook the chicken in low fame till the chicken is cooked well.
