Spicy Oats Upma

A smiple healthy breakfast with a little spicy twist.

Oats – 2 cup
Carrot – 1/2
Onion – 1
Tomato -1
Chilly powder- 1/4 tsp
Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
Mustard seeds – 1tsp
Toor dal – 1 tsp
Red chilly – 2
Curry leaves – few
Water – 2 1/2 cups


Heat a pan and add mustard seeds, toor dal and allow it to splitter.

Add red chilly, curry leaves and one they are done add chopped vegetables and fry till the vegetables are soft and cooked and then add turmeric, chilly powder and salt.

Add water and when it comes to boil add the oats and cook till the water is dry and oats cooked well.
