Besan Cheela


Besan flour – 1 cup

Rice powder – 2 tsp

Red chilli powder – ½ tps

Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp

Hing – ¼ tsp

Green chilly – 1

Onion- 1

Ginger – ¼ tsp

Coriander leaves – few




Finely chop onion, chillies, ginger and coriander leaves.

Mix besan powder with chilly powder, hing, turmeric and salt.

Add required water and make a batter (like dosa batter.)

Put all the chopped vegetables to the batter and mix well.

Heat a non stick tawa and pour a big ladle of batter and make it thin and round (like dosa).

Pour little oil around the cheela and cook both sides flipping it over.
