Due to winter idli batter was not fermented and it was kept in the fridge for the last 2 days. Today tried to make dosa which turned out to be a insipid, was worried as there was a big container of batter and and it has to be wasted……… At time point my hubby came up with the idea of bake idlis. Yes, like the idea and gave it a try and wow it came out too good. Very easy and a yummy recipe.
Idli batter – 2 cup
Onion (chopped)– 1 big
Carrot (shredded) – ½
Chilly Powder – ½ tsp
Turmeric Powder – ½ tsp
Coriander leaves – 1 tsp
Baking Soad – ¼ tsp
Heat the oven to 180 degree
Heat oil in a pan and fry onion and carrot adding coriander leaves, salt, chilly powder, turmeric powder
In a cake pan spread butter paper and pour the idli batter and add the vegetable mixture and baking soda and mix well. Add shredded carrots on top.
Keep this mixture for 10 mints and you can see the bubble on top.
Keep in oven for 15 mints or until it cooked well.
